Alexander Panov is an unconventional astronomer, believes that the Earth is a type of “reserve” in quarantine created by aliens. Panov is one of the most important astronomers in Russia and head of the SETI (Search for Alien Intelligence) scientific and cultural center, and a few days ago he gave an interview to Russian media, including RIA Novosti.
In the interview, the astronomer shared an alternative vision. He believes one of the reasons we haven’t found aliens yet (officially) could be because they’ll keep us in a “reserve” where contacts can’t interfere with our development.
And although Panov’s version fails to explain the thousands of UFO sightings and even seemingly alien entities, it provides a way to deal with why there have been no official contacts so far. Panov does not hide his belief in the existence of aliens, he even thinks that they probably visited Earth thousands of years ago.
Furthermore, it suggests that other intelligent civilizations would keep the Earth and the beings that inhabit it in a sort of “reserve”. In particular, Panov believes that this reservation would aim to create a radio silence zone around us so that nothing interferes with our development.
However, the astronomer believes that the possible radio silence zone would not prevent us from looking for signs of other civilizations. Panov believes that our current approach to extraterrestrial intelligence research is very limited. Now Panov is working on various projects such as the Russian Spektr-M Space Observatory, which will be launched in 2030, and which could see artificial mega-structures such as Dyson spheres and laser signals more closely, rather than just rapid radio flashes ( FRB).
Panov believes that another way to find out if aliens have visited Earth is through archeoastronomy. This includes the use of possible archaeological evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations that may have populated this world millions of years ago. Without a doubt, Panov appeals to all intelligent researchers, without becoming sensationalists, who can help a lot in the search for the mysteries of the universe, in particular extraterrestrial life.
