The grandfather sat on the porch watching the sun sink behind the tree line. This ritual represented the daily death of the light. The grandson sat beside him and asked the primary question of the species. He wanted to know why the world existed as a series of divisions. He asked why the sky remained high while the earth remained fixed beneath the feet.

Era of the Undivided Light
Time did not exist in the beginning. Space lacked the dimensions of up and down. No distinction existed between heaven and earth or day and night. The totality of existence was a warm and living sea of Light. Two beings named Geb and Nut swam in this ocean like twin aspects of a single thought. They did not function as separate deities of the earth and sky. They existed as a singular syzygy.
This unity was the perfect integration of opposites. The strongest oak and the most beautiful song occupied the same frequency. The hardest rock and the gentlest wind were identical. This whole being breathed and loved as a dynamic unity. Life was the only condition. Death and pain were absent because division was unknown. This was the Golden Age when the world remained whole.
Intervention of the Void
A spirit of emptiness named Shu observed this unity with envy. Shu was the spirit of “between” and the master of the vacuum. He lacked a home and a form of his own. He existed only as a howl in the cracks of the light. He planned a technical intervention to disrupt the primordial embrace.
Shu waited for the moment when Geb and Nut slept in their unified state. He gathered the full strength of his emptiness and struck a blow that tore the syzygy apart. He forced his body between the lovers and began to expand. He pushed Nut into the heights and forced Geb into the depths. This act created the sky and the earth as separate domains. Shu established the emptiness of the air in the space where love previously resided. He called this state “Order.” He claimed that the high sky and the low earth were the natural laws of the universe. He declared that they no longer belonged to each other.
Longing of the Divided World
A new life of separation began. Geb became the solid matter of rocks and sand. He fell into a deep silence because he could no longer hear the frequency of his partner. Nut became the distant vault of the stars. The stars are the frozen remnants of her tears. She weeps every night for her lost half. Shu appeared to the first humans as the primary god. He called himself the Creator. He claimed to have separated the light from the darkness for the sake of the world.
Shu is a thief who stole a primordial love and renamed it “Reality.” Love remains a persistent frequency despite this separation. The earth covers itself in flowers every spring as Geb reaches for the height. Warm rains fall in the summer as Nut touches the earth for a fleeting moment. Autumn fruits are the gifts of the earth to the sky. Winter is the period of lost hope when the lovers fall back into the cold. This cycle has repeated for thousands of millennia.
First Mage and the Inner Bridge
A child was born among the people who could sense the sadness in the stars. He heard the earth sigh beneath his feet. He realized that the world existed in a state of technical error. Separation was a lie enforced by the master of the void. This man entered the desert and sat in silence for forty days to look inward. He found a tiny spark in the depths of his heart. This spark was the memory of the Undivided Light.
He understood that Shu cannot be defeated through external force. Emptiness can only be filled by the presence of the self. This man became the First Mage. He began to build a bridge using the architecture of his own consciousness. He combined the firmness of Geb with the height of Nut within his own body. He transformed his heart into the bridge that Shu had destroyed. The moment he achieved this integration the lovers saw each other again.
Will of the Grandfather
The old man turned to his grandson as the sun disappeared. He explained that a single man cannot fix the fracture of time. Hope returned to the world because every person who unites heaven and earth becomes a thread in the wound. He issued a final warning to the boy. He stated that the world will try to teach him that the soul is separate from the body and the man is separate from the woman. He identified these teachings as the propaganda of Shu.
The task of a human life involves more than survival or reproduction. The goal is the restoration of the bridge. Every individual must find the spark in their heart and fan it into a flame. When enough people achieve this unity the lovers will finally embrace. A new Golden Age will emerge from our own creation. The world began with a division but it will end with a total unity. The grandson looked at the horizon and saw the earth and sky touch in the final rays of the sun.
