This remarkable story goes back many years… when a 40-year-old mother named Natasha Rummelhoff explained and shared her magnificent photograph. Her son Ryker was only 5 years old at the time. She swears that something was hidden in the dark, known as “The Black”, and that it was ready to harm her child.
Her inclination was, that guardian spirit was her late father Mike Decker protecting her young boy. This spirit (supposed to be her father) had what looked like wings, extending on each side. The photo taken was accidental while taking snapshots of Ryker playing by the campfire in the family garden.
Children are thought to see spiritual entities that adults simply cannot see. This may be evidence of something seen in this photo. The family previously lived in different parts of the world, including two years in Uganda between June 2013 and February 2015.
Natasha explained that she even got holy water from a neighbor and brandished it. Perhaps this preparation came from this unusual meeting. Natasha is not sure whether or not to believe in angels. However, her more religious friends do.
As far as we know, their family now lives in the Washington DC area. Natasha said, “He has an angel shape but I’m not religious so I don’t believe in angels and demons in this aspect. (For me) it’s a floating thing, some spirit.
Some of my more religious friends say that he is an angel, just like my mom. It has the typical shape of one. I wasn’t trying to catch anything in particular. When I took the photo, I looked to see what was there and I was quite shocked. I put the camera down and said “you have something around you”.
But you couldn’t see anything with the naked eye. But when I put the camera in front of my eyes, it reappeared in the photo. People said it was a stray light and it’s good, if that’s what they see. But that’s not what I see.
Last year I met a medium who had a lot of contact with my father and she and I had long conversations about the fact that (some family members) didn’t accept that he was gone and that could have kept in touch. I am always looking for signs of his presence, such as flickering lights or his appearance in my dreams.
I take these [signs] as if he let me know he was there. Maybe yes, maybe not. I keep an open mind. I have never been closed-minded about this. I am not religious but (I think) ghosts and spirits persist however. Ryker said it was a ghost but didn’t really understand.
This is not the first time that her son Ryker has experienced “The Black”. It happened before when the family lived in Uganda. Ryker would have noticed something lurking out of his window, he was horribly afraid of his room, she explained. Her other son, Sebastian Riggs, 16, also noticed that something was attached to him. It seems that the two children were magnets for a kind of paranormal presence. By profession, Ms. Rummelhoff works as an investigator and puts her skills at the service of these various incidents.
Natasha said they even tried to use water to clean up the area. Presumably, she may have tried to smudge too. This practice is done by using sacred herbs to create smoke around a person, place or object. Everything that followed this family seems to have disappeared for the moment, thanks to the guardian spirit that watched over them. However, young Ryker still has trouble sleeping on some dark nights.
